“I had an awkward one after our match… I thought a person won and they didn’t. Yeah, I was, like, Oh… but they took it well,” Gauff admitted, laughing about the incident.

She added:

“There are moments where you don’t know whether to speak to the person if you haven’t seen the score or how their match went. Usually, I’m pretty good at handling it, but today it was a mess-up. Luckily, the girl I was talking to is super sweet.”
