🦈 WARNING🦈 In March 2025 (three days after our visit), a tragic shark attack occurred at Wharton Beach, where a surfer in his 30s went missing after being attacked in chest-deep water, just 50 meters from the shore. Despite extensive search efforts by emergency services, only the surfer's damaged board was recovered, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
