1st session on the 2021 layout - Märklin trains in motion - Automated Temporary Analogue Layout

This running session features the less than perfect (or even good) stock I used for testing during the build of the 2021 temporary layout. They were so dependable that I felt they deserved a starring role in the maiden running session on the layout before most of them are returned to the spares bin.

The layout measures 540cm x 120cm, is analogue, the automation is done using universal remote switches (Märklin 7045) and a few bistable relays in combination with contact and switching tracks.


If you want to look at the track plan, it is available online for IOS/macOS users using the following methods:
RailModeller Pro/Express users on macOS: browse community layouts, filter by the Märklin H0 M tag, the layout is called "sit back and watch longer trains".
IOS/IPADOS users (iphone/ipad): download the free "Train Layouts" app from the Apple App Store (https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/train-l..., filter by H0 scale and look for "sit back and watch longer trains".
