You may need to wear headphones to hear me more clearly. I apologise - this was one of the early videos - my technology skills have improved.
Making simple Tyvek and iridescent tissue beads by wrapping around a wooden kebab stick and shrinking with a heat gun.
They are well worth the effort as they do rather resemble Baroque pearls.
I also have videos where I make faux diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds and beads that resemble amber, coral, gold, silver and some that look like Ancient Egyptian Faience, porcelain, majolica and very old iridescent glass. I make lots of faux beads and then string them up to make different styles of necklaces, earrings, bracelets and tiaras. I love researching period and ancient jewellery particularly ecclesiastical and crown jewels.
Of course now we are 9 years on from when I recorded this video and epoxy resin has become very popular. I still buy my resin from Arum of Eli-Chem - the most accommodating and friendly man who I met at his headquarter in Corsham. It was quite a drive from Herefordshire but well worth it. His business has grown and grown and he can sell you just about anything and everything you will need when working with resin.
