These are the isolated drums from the 1974 Frank Zappa album Apostrophe. The tracks are St. Alfonzo's Pancake Breakfast and Father O'Blivion, which make up the second half of the Yellow Snow Suite. The drummer is the great Ralph Humphrey.
This video was created for educational purposes. If you're like me, and you're trying to learn these two songs, I wish you luck! I've always been enamored with the drums in these two songs, especially the Latin style beat at the end of Father O'Blivion. I also found quite a few more double kick drum hits in St. Alfonzo than I expected.
Also note - during the isolation process, I slowed the tempo down from 138bpm to 128bpm and forgot to change it back. My main purpose of uploading this was to utilize the song speed feature within YouTube, which is just more convenient for practicing.
The audio was separated and extracted using the Moises app. It's available for both Android and iOS. It does a surprisingly good job of separating vocals, drums, bass, and others. If you're a fan of isolated tracks, I highly recommend it!
