Testing 2024 CFMoto Adventure Bikes | Insta360 Ace Pro

MotoStrada (official distributor of CFMoto, MV Agusta, and Peugot motorcycles in the Philippines) held a massive test ride event just for their bikes similar to the Makina Grand Test Ride. Took the opportunity to try out their current adventure touring lineup (except for the new 800MT-X because too many were lining up for it 😭). I was too busy the entire holiday season and was only able to edit and upload this now.

Quick Reviews:

CFMoto 450 MT / Ibex 450:
Feels great overall. It feels lighter than my 450SR when it shouldn't be. It's really low for an adventure bike, even lower than the new RE 452 Himalayan (both on the lowest seat option and stock height). It feels more like a dual-sport than an adventure bike. It's so easy to use that it makes you feel more skilled than you actually are.

CFMoto 700 CL-X Adventure:
Bike feels outdated, especially the engine. It vibrates and lugs a lot on low RPMs. You can really feel the difference here between CFMoto's pre-KTM and post-KTM era. That said, if you like the less refined, maybe retro feeling engine (cue the "characterful" ☝️🤓 motorcycle fans), then this modern-retro-ADV-scrambler with confusing design language might be for you.

CFMoto 800 MT / Ibex 800:
I enjoyed this bike the most. It rides easier than it looks. Being based on the KTM 790 Adventure platform, it feels surprisingly nimble when juxtaposed to it's chunky, top-heavy design. The wide seat and 825mm seat height is very manageable even for a 5-foot, 6-and-3/4th's (this is important) overconfident short king like me. I might consider this (or the sport touring version) for my next upgrade for touring.
