Hello everyone! In this video I talk about the things I wish I knew before going to grad school. In this video I am specifically talking about going to school for a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. When you get this degree you become an LPC, then an LPCC and finally an LPCC-S.
I hope this helps you to be more informed than I was when making your decision. I plan to make a future video on how I decided to become an LPC and not an MFT, PsyD, or social worker.
I am passionate about helping people thrive as mental health care workers. It all starts with picking the right program and knowing what you are getting yourself into with school. I hope this sheds some light on what the process looked like for me. I love being a therapist in private practice and I am SO lucky that it worked out for me even though I was a little uninformed!
