The Portfolio Committee on Correctional Services spent the day at St.
Albans Prison in Gqeberha as part of a nationwide oversight tour.
Members examined conditions, management, and rehabilitation
programmes.
Prisoners also spoke about overcrowding, delays in legal processes,
and skills they gained like sewing, which they hope will help them
after their release.
