The Old Church in Sancoale came alive with vibrant celebrations of the St Joseph Vaz feast, marked by deep religious fervour and devotion. Nearly one lakh devotees gathered to offer prayers and seek blessings, reflecting Goa’s enduring faith in its homegrown saint. Celebrated annually on January 16, the feast drew pilgrims from across the state and beyond. Expressing gratitude, Parish Priest Fr Kenneth Telles said the overwhelming attendance showed people’s love and concern for St Joseph Vaz and the sacred place. He added that he hopes devotion continues to grow, inspiring people to visit in even greater numbers everywhere worldwide.
