🎣 Shelter Bay Blowout! Fishing Trip Turns Into a Wind Battle 🌬️

What was supposed to be a quick, easy run up to Shelter Bay in Shark Bay turned into one of the wildest short trips we’ve had in a long time.
The plan was simple: meet up with a few good mates, throw the lines in, cook up a feed by the water, and enjoy a calm night on the beach. But as soon as we rolled into camp, the wind hit us like a freight train.

From the very first gust, it was obvious this wasn’t going to be a relaxed Shark Bay session. The tents were bending, the swags were lifting, and every loose item instantly became a projectile. It felt like the wind was trying to peel the camp apart piece by piece. But that’s the magic of trips like this — they never go quite how you expect, and that’s what makes them memorable.

Despite the chaos, the laughs didn’t stop. Between holding down tarps, resetting gear, and trying to keep the camp standing, we still managed to sneak in a few casts and soak in the epic coastline that makes Shelter Bay such a special place. Even with the wind howling, the colours of the bay, the rugged cliffs, and the good company made it worth every second.
