A male red fox hunts for meadow voles in late winter. The field is rich with voles as the fox catches one after the other. Often caching them because he catches so many. While he is out hunting, his pregnant partner is sleeping by the edge of the woods. Curled up in a ball, she wakes from time to time to watch the male hunt or greets him when he comes over to check on her.
