I made these dumplings many times. On the day that this was filmed, the flour seemed to be a bit hard to stir when mixed with hot water. It turned out fine though.
Ingredients :
Filling
Turnip 500g
Carrot 1
Teaspoon Tablespoon
Shallot (small red onion) 2
Garlic 2
Dry shrimps 2
Corn starch (1 tsp) + water (2 tbsp) 1 2
Oil 2
Salt 3/4
Oyster sauce 1
Light soy sauce 1
Pepper 1/4
Sesame oil 1
Pastry (yield 17) Cup Teaspoon Tablespoon
Tapioca starch (120g) 1
Wheat starch (120g) 1
Salt 1/2
Oil 2
Hot water 250ml
Others :
Kitchen scales
Rolling pin
Zip bag (cut into half)
Steamer
Correction : Steaming time is around 10 minutes. However, it depends on the steamer that's used.
