ICARUS serves as the far detector of the Short-Baseline Neutrino (SBN) Program at Fermilab. The primary physics goal of the ICARUS experiment is to search for definitive evidence of sterile neutrinos. Several anomalous results observed in short-baseline oscillation experiments suggest the possible existence of one or more light sterile neutrino states in the eV mass range, prompting a wave of new experimental efforts to search for unambiguous signatures of oscillations between active and sterile neutrino flavors. If such a neutrino exists, it would be a gauge singlet in the Standard Model, hence the term "sterile." The discovery—or exclusion—of a sterile neutrino associated with these anomalies would have profound implications for particle physics, as well as astrophysics and cosmology. In this presentation, I will discuss the current status and recent physics results from the ICARUS experiment, which has been operating for the past five years.
