Decarbonizing Uzbekistan: Green Hydrogen and the Path Ahead

Hamad Masood, Executive Director of Business Development for the Global Green Hydrogen Department at ACWA Power, provides an update on ACWA Power’s pioneering green hydrogen project in Chirchik, Uzbekistan. Currently under construction, this plant is set to produce green hydrogen by January 2025, making it the first commercially independent green hydrogen project in the region, financed by a Development Finance Institution (DFI).
