In Ottawa, federal ministers announce that the government has formed a strategic partnership with Telesat Corporation and MDA Space to strengthen military communications in the Arctic.
Speaking at the news conference are ministers Joël Lightbound (government transformation, Public Works and procurement) and David McGuinty (national defence), as well as Stephen Fuhr (secretary of state for defence procurement), Yasir Naqvi (MP for Ottawa Centre), Dan Goldberg (president and CEO of Telesat), and Mike Greenley (CEO of MDA Space).
