Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty drops you right back into the grit of Night City, but this time the story pulls you into Dogtown — a heavily militarized, lawless district ruled by smugglers, mercs, and a ruthless ex–military leader named Kurt Hansen. You’re hired for a high-stakes mission by the New United States government after the President’s aircraft is shot down, and everything quickly turns into a tangled mess of espionage, political secrets, and impossible choices.

The expansion hits way harder than the base game because it leans into spy-thriller energy: covert ops, infiltration, double-crosses, and alliances you’re never fully sure you can trust. Idris Elba plays Solomon Reed, a sleeper agent fighting for a country that might not even deserve his loyalty, and your relationship with him becomes one of the most important emotional cores of the story.

Phantom Liberty also adds a whole new skill tree system, cyberware overhaul, improved AI, boss fights, vehicles, and weapons, making gameplay feel smoother and more powerful than before.
