In a stream close to Sierra Chincua Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary in Mexico are these Michoacán Stream Salamanders (also known as Toluca Axolotl), (Ambystoma rivulare). They are classified as Endangered and are closely related to the well-known Axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum) of Mexico City.
