Evolution of the Toyota Celica Rally Car (ST205) in Gran Turismo (1999 - 2022 / GT2 - GT7)

Gran Turismo 7 has received its final content update for 2022 and it added the first 90s rally car to the game with the 1995 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 model. Here you can see the car in action in every game that featured it and also its showcase at the garage or car dealer.

Gran Turismo 2-6 were known for featuring a large number of rally cars from many different manufacturers. Now we finally got one of them in GT7 as well with the 1995 Toyota Celica ST205, which won the WRC Rally France in real life before the cars were disqualified due to Toyota trying to cheat the regulations.

In GT2 the car is exclusive to the arcade mode and can be unlocked by winning on Special Stage Route 5. In GT3 the car can be won in the Tahiti Rally and in GT4 at Swiss Alps.

In GT5 and GT6 the car is available as a premium model with detailed interior and in GT7 the car is now available at the legend car dealer for a pretty affordable price.

Hopefully the Celica will just be the first of many 90s rally cars in GT7, since the late 90s had some of the most diverse car lineups in WRC history, with many different manufacturers competing, just like at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the same period.
