We live in an ethnic community called Chuquibambilla in a Missionary Base called Antioquia with other missionaries from different countries from Latin America.
The translation project began in 2022. Now we have the first fruits from this hard and slow work.
The native translators are the main part of the project, not us. We are just facilitators or assessors for their work.
On 27th September we are dedicating two books: Genesis and Jonah in nomatsiguenga language.
Sometimes people speak to us using only their language. That's exciting because they are noticing that we really value their culture.
Well, we have a big challenge and we are seeking the will of God about how to keep working with a complete team of translators without stopping by no funds.
How to pray for us?
May God calls more nomatsiguenga men.
May God supply the finance for the next three years on the Bible translation project.
For our health and growing like marriage.
For more men translators.
That the Nomatsiguenga people may be freed from animism and alcoholism.
For the impact of listening to Jonah's audio in Nomatsigenga.
For the entire missionary team living at this base. There are five households.
