Woodturning a segmented resin Chakra Yoga accent lamp

Hello and welcome to my channel. In this video I will show you how I made this cool chakra yoga accent lamp for my wonderful Debbie to enjoy during her yoga/meditation sessions. Chakra translates to wheel in Sanskrit and refers to wheels of energy throughout the body. Each color has it's own meaning.

Red = Physical identity
Orange=Creativity
Yellow=Confidence
Green=Compassion
Blue=Communication
Indigo=Imagination
Violet=Awareness

The function of the chakras is to spin and draw in this energy which explains the circular design of the lamp.

Two pieces not presented in the video were the base which was turned from a square piece of Indiana black walnut and the circular lid which is also walnut and removable. The primary lighter wood is Indiana Hard Maple.
