ഇന്ത്യയും യൂറോപ്യന് യൂണിയനുമായുള്ള സ്വതന്ത്ര വ്യാപാര കരാറിന് ജനുവരി 27ന് അന്തിമ രൂപമയേക്കും. വ്യാപാര ധാരണകളുടെ മാതാവ് എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഈ കരാറിലൂടെ ഇന്ത്യയും യൂറോപ്യന് യൂണിയനിലെ 27 അംഗ രാജ്യങ്ങളുമായുള്ള ഉഭയ കക്ഷി വ്യാപാരം കുത്തനെ വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കാനാണ് ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്. അവസാന ഘട്ട ചര്ച്ചകകള്ക്കായി യൂറോപ്യന് യൂണിയന് വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് കാജാ കള്ളാസ് ഇന്നലെ ഇന്ത്യയിലെത്തി. രാജ്യത്തെ ടെക്സ്റ്റൈയില്, ലെതര്, ഫാര്മസ്യൂട്ടിക്കല്, സ്റ്റീല്, പെട്രോളിയം ഉത്പന്നങ്ങള്, ഇലക്ട്രിക്കല് മെഷിനറി നിര്മ്മാതാക്കള്ക്ക് യൂറോപ്യന് വിപണിയില് വിപുലമായ സാദ്ധ്യതകള് കരാര് തുറന്നിടുമെന്നാണ് വിലയിരുത്തുന്നത്.
The India-European Union Free Trade Agreement is expected to be finalized on January 27. Known as the “mother of trade agreements,” this pact aims to significantly boost bilateral trade between India and the 27 member countries of the European Union.
For the final round of discussions, European Union Vice President Kaja Kallas arrived in India yesterday. The agreement is expected to open up extensive opportunities in the European market for Indian manufacturers in textiles, leather, pharmaceuticals, steel, petroleum products, and electrical machinery.
