The final summer parkrun at Lee-on-the-Solent.

Well, it looks like summer is finally over. Another overcast morning along Lee-on-the-Solent promenade. With a stiff headwind for the start and finish, this meant we had the middle section with a tailwind, which would present people with a dilemma: push hard and make use of the tailwind, but possibly pay with the finish straight or play it calm and push hard into the headwind for a strong finish.
I pushed hard after the Elmore turn, setting a good pace in the middle and then pushed hard into the finish to match the last 2 kms.
I really enjoyed today's run, and with it being the weekend before my major milestone day. im also amazed that on my 249th run i managed a 22:49 ( next week im pacing 25:00 on my 250th)
