Preparing one of the garden beds for a new crop, using the power composting technique and my BCS 740 two-wheel tractor: Mulch crop residue then add it to the soil to break down and build the organic matter content.
Crop residue was mown using 90cm Blade Runner flail mower in second gear. Tilling was performed using the 80cm tiller/rotary hoe.
My 16 month-old daughter wanted to help, but we decided the best place for her was in the backpack with her Grade 4 earmuffs on. We told her that the supervisory role was a particularly important one.
