In Luke 14:15–24, Jesus tells the parable of a great banquet to show the danger of misplaced priorities. Those first invited make excuses, choosing lesser things over the feast, so the invitation goes to the poor and outsiders instead. God’s kingdom call is urgent and open to all, but it must come first—rejecting it means missing the joy of His presence.
