In this video we take a close look at the evidence for what happened in Buck's Row on the morning of the 31st of August 1888, when Mary Nichols, the first victim of Jack the Ripper, was murdered.
Using the only available direct evidence available to us today, we look at four witnesses who were quoted in the newspapers - Police Constable John Neil, carman Robert Paul, Police Constable Jonas Mizen, and carman Charles Allen Cross.
Since they were actually there at the scene, what they had to say about the case is of huge importance in unravelling this intriguing mystery.
