Michael Ranger Demo Reel

This is the demo reel for 3D Generalist and Compositor Michael Ranger, an Emmy winning Visual Effects Artist located in the Los Angeles area.

Bio:

I have over 15 years industry experience in 3d computer animation using AutoDesk Maya (Arnold [cpu/gpu], Redshift, Vray). I'm an expert compositor using After Effects and have expert ability in Photoshop. I'm also proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Substance Painter, Syntheyes, photogrammetry using Meshroom and Metashape, and real-time optimization using InstaLOD, Simplygon and Maya.

I have 2 years experience in Unity and Xcode creating AR experiences including physically based texturing and shading. I'm proficient in concept art and design, with an exceptional fine art ability in various physical and digital mediums.

I have a strong artistic eye and believe that in addition to being highly skilled in a multitude of programs, it's also critical to be good at moving forward with whatever is new in technology and style. Because of this I've been increasingly folding AI into my workflow as it becomes more and more available as a powerful and time saving tool.
