[REMIX] F777 - Sonic Blaster REMIX

Yup. Kinda just what it says on the tin.

Seriously though, I have more to say. Just like with my Isolation remix, this one was created because no Sonic Blaster remix ever had what I was looking for. They never really captured the feeling that the original instilled in me, so I decided try my hand at a remix of this song!

The original song is actually sorta weird. The structure of it is super simple, but it uses the mixing and instrumentation to really make it sound complex. I originally thought the song had tons of layers, but further listens really highlights how F-777 was able to make so much out of so little. (Honestly, it could still have tons of layers, but the only way I could check that is with the original project file, which I don't think F-777 is too keen on just giving that out- and that's assuming he still even has it.)

I also need to give a special shout-out to my accidental discovery of the piano used in the original song. I was deciding on what piano to use for that section, before I remembered that Nexus (The plugin, not the GD player) had a good selection of pianos, so I decided to re-obtain a [TOTALLY LEGAL] copy of Nexus 2. After downloading it, I checked the piano section to see what it had. I loaded up the "Dancepiano 2k7" preset and... It was the same one. It wasn't even remotely different; it was just straight up the exact same piano used in the original Sonic Blaster. While I did think this was cool, it did make me worried that the similarities between my remix and the original's piano parts would trigger the copyright bots. Thankfully though, as I'm writing this description, YouTube is telling me everything is fine. So, we're good for now at least.
