How to Draw Clothing and Drapery from Imagination
Understand Drawing Fabric Folds for Character Designs , Comic Book / Manga Illustration and Costume / Fashion Designs.

Today I'm filling another page of my sketchbook and talking about how I approach Drawing Clothing , Costumes and other types of Drapery. This is a critical skill to understand when creating Character Designs , Drawing Comic Books , Fashion Design , or anytime you need to draw Fabric from imagination
In this video Ill quickly go over Drawing Drapery and the general topics of Tension Points, Diaper Folds, Half-lock Folds, Compression Wrinkles, Pipe Folds, Spiral Folds as well as the general forces that act on the fabric causing each.
Ill also talk about how I try to simplify Drawing Fabric in a way that reinforces a Character's Gesture and movement.
