In this film I take a close look at how and why so many Avro Lancasters and in fact all RAF Bombers were lost more so from 1943 onwards.
Warrant Officer Harry Irons relays in a very interesting interview his experience as a rear gunner in Lancaster's and later Halifax bombers and describes how and why so many bombers and crews were lost and the scandalous reasons the Air Ministry never told the bomber crews how they were being attacked by secret German night fighters using radar and upward firing cannons.
