I have recorded this video for the Facebook group "Studies for double bass challenge".
This etude by Frantisek Simandl is one of my favourite etudes ever, combining various technical aspects with some enjoyable melodic lines, especially in the second and fourth fragment. It's a "must study" for all bass players, who are going to get great advantage and enjoyment out of it.
Performed on gut strings with my clip-in Dragonetti bow built by Marco Pasquino.
