Rohtas Fort Shahi Masjid (early 17th century)
This small mosque is adjescent to the Shahi Gate of Rohtas Fort and is embedded in the walls of the fort. The mosque consists of a prayer chamber and a courtyard. The prayer chamber, which is 19.2 meters long and 7.3 meters deep, comprises three bays with arched openings and unadorned domed ceilings. However, unlike most domed mosques, the domes are not evident from the exterior due to the need to make the mosque inconspicuous within the network of fortifications. The mosque also possesses a side entrance which leads through the walls to the interior of the Shahi Gate of Rohtas Fort, Jehlum.

Although simple and unassuming, this mosque is architecturally significant as it is one of only a handful of surviving Suri-era religious structures.
