Look At This – Musical comedy about money, racism, and the joys of carnival

Follow the lives of the residents in a lively tenement in Pelourinho, the heart of Salvador, on the final day of Carnival. Between tight finances and a strong desire to have fun, these quirky characters survive with a mix of creativity, irony, and music.

Disturbed by the revelry, the devout building manager Dona Joana (Luciana Souza) shuts off the water supply. This triggers a chain of events involving Roque (Lázaro Ramos), an aspiring singer; Reginaldo (Érico Brás), a taxi driver trying to hide his lover Yolanda (Lyu Arisson) from his wife Maria (Valdinéia Soriano); Raimunda (Cássia Vale), a fortune-teller who reads cowrie shells; Neuzão (Tânia Tôko), a bar owner and uncle to the seductive Rosa (Emanuelle Araújo); Carmen (Auristela Sá), who runs illicit businesses in the building; and her sister Psilene (Dira Paes), freshly back from Europe. They all cross paths and find solidarity in the face of the crisis — with the local Baiana (Rejane Maia), everyone's go-to, at the center of it all.
