Looking to mix up your current painting style a bit? Try this simplification exercise:
Draw out an entire, detailed scene or still life on your canvas
Go in with an eraser, in the spirit of Milton Avery, and start removing information until you only have left what we need to see in order to understand what an object or scene is.
Once you have a simplified drawn version of your world, you can start painting using contrasting colors to create a bold, simple painting.
