James McCarty, drummer, singer, songwriter, and co-founder of the Yardbirds continues to lead this British Invasion rock band that provided an important link between the blues, British R&B, psychedelic rock and helped pioneer heavy metal. From 1963 to 1968, the Yardbirds have yielded legendary guitarists including Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. Current lead singer and guitarist John Idan has celebrated 30 years as a Yardbird since their reformation. With this lineup, you’ll see some masterful guitar work which helped define the Yardbirds and establish their amazing contribution to rock music.
