This video describes the phenomenon of magnetic anisotropy in NMR spectroscopy which explains shielding/deshielding of protons. The high chemical shift of aromatic protons than alkenes and alkynes hydrogens has been compared. The isotropic and anisotropic magnetic fields are explained in this video. It has been discussed why alkyne protons have low chemical shift than alkenes. The magnetic field generated due to circulation of pi electrons which cause shielding or deshielding protons has been explained.
