India's economy has given a big surprise. It has recorded the fastest GDP growth after five quarters. Beating estimates, India's GDP has grown by 7.8%. This information has been given in the latest data of the government. This is no less than a slap on the face of US President Donald Trump, who called India a dead economy. According to the data of the National Statistical Office (NSO), India's gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate in the April-June quarter of the financial year 2025-26 was 7.8%. This is the highest in the last five quarters. An ET poll of economists had estimated the GDP growth rate to be between 6.3% and 7% in the first quarter. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had estimated 6.5%. In the same quarter last year, the GDP growth rate was 6.7%, which was the lowest in 15 months.

भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था ने बड़ा सरप्राइज दिया है। इसने पांच तिमाही के बाद सबसे तेज जीडीपी ग्रोथ दर्ज की है। अनुमानों को पछाड़ते हुए भारत की जीडीपी 7.8% बढ़ी है। सरकार के ताजा आंकड़ों में यह जानकारी दी गई है। भारत को डेड इकॉनमी बताने वाले अमेरिकी राष्‍ट्रपति डोनाल्‍ड ट्रंप के मुंह पर यह किसी तमाचे से कम नहीं है। राष्ट्रीय सांख्यिकी कार्यालय (NSO) के आंकड़ों के अनुसार, वित्त वर्ष 2025-26 की अप्रैल-जून तिमाही में भारत की सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (GDP) की वृद्धि दर 7.8% रही। यह पिछली पांच तिमाहियों में सबसे ज्‍यादा है। अर्थशास्त्रियों के एक ईटी पोल ने पहली त‍िमाही में जीडीपी ग्रोथ रेट 6.3% से 7% के बीच रहने का अनुमान लगाया था। भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने 6.5% का अनुमान लगाया था। पिछले साल इसी तिमाही में जीडीपी की वृद्धि दर 6.7% थी जो 15 महीने का सबसे निचला स्तर था।
