How to Use Xlookup Function in Excel
In this video, I explain how to use the Xlookup function in Excel.
What is the Xlookup function in Excel?
The XLOOKUP function in Excel searches for a value in a range or array and returns a corresponding value from another column or row. It's a more versatile and flexible replacement for older functions like VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP, allowing for both vertical and horizontal lookups, multiple criteria, and approximate matches.
Syntax:
=XLOOKUP(lookup_value, lookup_array, return_array, [if_not_found], [match_mode], [search_mode])
lookup_value (Required): The value to search for.
lookup_array (Required): The array or range to search.
return_array (Required): The array or range to return.
[if_not_found] (Optional): Where a valid match is not found, return the [if_not_found] text you supply.
[match_mode] (Optional).
[search_mode] (Optional).
