The Frankfurt Radio Big Band says farewell to the man, who shaped more then a decade of its history. Its long time composer in residence, world known arranger, composer and big band leader, Jim McNeely, who composed one last piece fot the band: The Inner Visions suite.

After the suite "Barefoot Dances and Other Visions" there is now a new work for the Frankfurt Radio Big Band by Jim McNeely. The composer-in-residence takes another look at the ensemble he has known for so many years and writes music for its members. Since then, some faces have been added and provide the background for new stories. Jim McNeely will use this concert as an oppotunity to bid farewell to the Frankfurt Radio Big Band and his audience as the finale of his long-time association and work together.

Nach der Suite “Barefoot Dances and Other Visions” gibt es nun ein neues Werk für die hr-Bigband von Jim McNeely. Der Composer in Residence wirft erneut einen Blick auf das Ensemble, das er seit so vielen Jahren kennt, und schreibt seinen Mitgliedern Musik auf den Leib. Einige Gesichter sind seitdem neu dazugekommen und liefern den Background für neue Geschichten. Jim McNeely wird dieses Konzert zum Anlass nehmen, sich nach seiner langen Zeit enger Verbundenheit mit der hr-Bigband von seinem Publikum in Frankfurt zu verabschieden.
