Background: When she was around Naruto's age she used to be friends with his squad. When she saw Sasuke and Naruto fight each other she knew that Sasuke would go to Orochimaru. She felt that it would be wrong if Squad 7 got separated since she knew they'd be devastated so she decided to go to Orochimaru before he got the chance. Four years have passed and she finally decides to go back home but she instead goes to the Sand Village, wanting to make a new start. She didn't want to run into her old friends and she knew they'd probably never accept her again. She joins Temari's squad but is forced to start as a Genin again, even though she has the skills of a Jounín. She has had a crush on Gaara since she feels that they are the same, they know what it means to be alone.
She secretly has a tailed beast inside known as the 'ten-tails' that takes the appearance of a silver dragon. Her clan was destroyed when she was young so she doesn't remember her past but she has an older sister named Kirra although she joined the Akatsuki.
