SGN: SecondLife’s Learning Island with Firestorm Viewer on Mac

2024 UPDATE: SL changed their learning center again so, we're filming new tutorials to be released this spring.

This video is the 2nd in a tutorial set for beginners who’ve just signed up to use SecondLife with their Firestorm Viewer, on a computer with a Mac OS and keyboard.

We filmed this six months ago but life happened and other projects took the lead. Halfway through that time, three months after we filmed it, SecondLife updated their on-boarding, teaching/tutorial sims. We've decided to finish this tutorial and post it anyway, just encase people are still landing in Learning Island, rather than the newer Adventure Island.

Yes. We've filmed a new "Adventure Island" tutorial, which is in editing now, as Adventure Island seems to take the place of Learning Island. That video will be posted soon. Then "Social Island" will follow, as we've already filmed it too, its just awaiting editing, as well as the new "Central Park", "Firestorm Viewer Basics", "RLVa Basics", and "The Basics of Building in Firestorm" so subscribe and allow notifications to be the first to know!

This was filmed, edited, and shared with all of you, in anticipation of our fan-fiction series and interactive gaming done through SecondLife. We anticipate once folk see the episodes, they’ll want to join SL and play in the roleplaying community game that influences the show.

These tutorials are meant to help said folks get started as fast and easy as possible, by giving them our experiences in walk-thru fashion.
