Following an introduction of himself in chapter one, Paul turned his focus on the necessity of salvation for both the Gentile and the Jew. In chapter one, his focus was more directed towards the Gentile community, and in chapter two, Paul directs his comments more towards the Jewish community. All of it will be pointing ahead to chapter three and his powerful words, "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
