Vintage DDT Sprayer Insecticide Vaporizer Pump

This pump was used back in the days as an insecticide spray gun especially with DDT Flit etc...
It's part of our history, a time when it was thought that the insecticide was only harmful to unsightly insects without creating harmful effects on human health

A few months ago I bought some old tools, and in a box there was also this spray pump, as you can see from the video it had not been used for many years, the rust and the encrustation gave it a touch of mystery.
The thing that struck me was the color, under the rust its original color still shone, polishing it I managed to get a spray can of the same color, it is a metallic green, so first the color must be sprayed and then the transparent varnish.

The hardest and most boring part was grouting and sanding, it took me two days.

I created the seal by cutting out a piece of leather like the original.
The final test with water was successful, another piece of history brought to its old glory.
My collection of vintage objects is expanding.
