Newlywed Wife, Lover Accused in Shocking Murder of Husband

Jogulamba Gadwal / Kurnool | June 23, 2025 — In a chilling tale of deceit and betrayal, a newlywed woman and her mother have been arrested for allegedly plotting and executing the brutal murder of the woman's husband, just one month after their marriage. The prime accused include the wife, Aishwarya, and her mother Sujata, both reportedly involved in an illicit relationship with a bank employee who is now absconding.

Tejeshwar (32), a private land surveyor from Jogulamba Gadwal district, was found dead on June 17 near Sugalimettu, close to the Panyam police station limits in Andhra Pradesh. His body bore fatal knife wounds, and his throat had been slit. The incident has sent shockwaves across the Telangana–Andhra region.

The story began earlier this year, when Tejeshwar's family arranged his engagement to Aishwarya, a young woman from Kurnool, on February 13. Shockingly, just five days before their wedding, Aishwarya disappeared. It was rumored she had eloped with a prominent bank employee in Kurnool. However, she returned on February 16, claiming she had merely gone to a friend’s house due to the pressure her mother faced over dowry arrangements.

Emotional and tearful, Aishwarya reassured Tejeshwar of her love, and despite initial reluctance from both families, the marriage went ahead on May 18.

Trouble began almost immediately. From the second day of marriage, Tejeshwar noticed Aishwarya constantly on the phone, paying little attention to him. The turning point came with Tejeshwar’s sudden disappearance on June 17. A missing person complaint filed by his brother led police to a shocking revelation.

During interrogation, Aishwarya and her mother Sujata revealed that both were involved with the same bank employee — Sujata as his longtime partner, and later, Aishwarya as well. Call data records exposed that Aishwarya had spoken to the bank employee over 2,000 times even after her marriage.

Police suspect that the motive behind the murder was Tejeshwar’s property and his objection to Aishwarya’s continued affair. The absconding bank employee is believed to have hired contract killers and even sent his driver along with them.

Pretending to seek a land survey, the hired killers lured Tejeshwar into a vehicle on the pretext of surveying 10 acres. Once inside, they attacked him with knives, murdered him in cold blood, and dumped his body near Panyam.

The police have arrested Aishwarya and her mother Sujata. A manhunt is underway to trace the bank employee and the other culprits involved in the murder.

Further investigations are ongoing to uncover the full scope of the conspiracy.
