We are at the 2nd Photo runby of the day on the Chehalis Western Railroad. The doubleheader is featuring two live steam locomotives and a beautifully restored F- 7?-9? of the Northern Pacific Railroad. This high bridge was crossed earlier in the day without stopping. I have another video of the train here earlier in the day heading the opposite direction without slowing down at all. Here though we get to see the #15 really going overboard with the throttle and shaking out some freshly rebuild bugs that were plaguing this locomotive all day long. But both engines put on a fine steam and stack show way up high!
One thing that really strikes me in this particular light and angle is the quality that went into the repairs on those two Ex Southern Pacific commute coaches. WOW! I grew up riding and seeing those cars in commute service out of San Francisco. They NEVER looked THAT good!
