Front row with my camcorder on Elvis' favorite ride, the Zippin' Pippin at LibertyLand in Memphis,TN . The Pippin no longer resides at the old Fairgrounds in Memphis. It's now operating in Green Bay, WI . When you head thru the hills, the Liberty Bowl and Mid-South Coliseum are visible. The cars look like "sleighs" instead of the polished alum. trains they used in the past. I'm not sure when they changed these cars. When they used the trains, they would use (2) of them during the Mid South Fair to keep the lines moving. They only used (1) the rest of the time. The 2nd train was stored on the control platform. They say if you have a Memphis driver's license, you can ride the Pippin free when you visit it in Green Bay.
