The Pursuit of Fistyness: A Fistball Story

Despite a outwardly successful life in the corporate world of business and profits, the protagonist of this story can't help but still feel somewhat unsatisfied, frustrated with what hasn't yet achieved in life.

It is his unyielding passion for sport that continues to distract him and eat away at his soul, a passion that he has held close to his heart from the earliest days of his middle-middle aged life. From the moment he first witnessed Australian sporting glory as a small child, the yearning to represent Australia on the world stage has burned deep, a yearning that continues unsatiated.

But perhaps some kind of epiphany is to come? And as for his natural inclination to utilise his impressive fists for every physical action in life - while this tendency is clearly debilitating in his day-to-day life, surely it will play a critical role in said epiphany?

Indeed.

And so, after yet another Australian victory - this time in the 2013 Ashes series - the despondent protagonist is shocked when he is confronted in his dreams by a mysterious yet authoritative entity. Identifying himself as "The Godfister", he lays down his challenge - the protagonist must play the sport he was born to play. He must harness the power of the fist. He must play fistball.
