Beginner's Guide to Elex 2 - Tips and Advice

This video is spoiler-free guide meant to provide new players with in-depth tips, tricks, advice, and strategies to make the game easier and more enjoyable. If you've played the first game already, then you're reasonably well-prepared to jump into the sequel without too much of a struggle, but even then, it still has some of those weird Piranha Bytes idiosyncrasies that make it a bit trickier to figure out, even for Elex veterans. And if for some reason you haven't played the first game, then you might be in even more need of some basic guidance to get you started. So these are the things I think you should know early in your playthrough to help you understand the game better and to have more fun playing it.

04:22 - Follow the main quest early on
05:37 - Don't worry about the infection; there's no time limit
06:19 - Join a faction sooner, rather than later
09:40 - Make upgrading the jetpack an early priority
11:00 - You don't HAVE to buy jetpack fuel
11:56 - Get a companion as soon as possible
13:10 - Use kicks, parries, and special attacks in melee combat
14:27 - There are faster ways to raise/lower destruction
15:32 - Use the new UI features to your advantage
16:52 - If you don't like the camera, use alternative options
18:03 - If you're having performance issues, try DX12 mode
19:43 - Drink all elex and stat potions as soon as you find them
21:25 - Pickpocketing/Build Weapons are the best way to earn money
24:51 - Basically everything in the "other" tab can be sold
25:41 - Some NPCs will buy select goods at a 81higher price
26:32 - Max out the Chemistry and Animal Trophies abilities
27:48 - Some skills are broken/don't do what they say they do
