The 1972 movie pilot for Hugh O'Brian's "Search" NBC-TV series was originally entitled "Probe." When the pilot was repeated by the network, the pilot (as well as the series) was retitled "Search" because they found that someone else was using the title "Probe" for a syndicated public affairs program hosted by Dr. Albert Burke. They also separated the opening credits into two portions, placing the latter portion at the end of the movie, which ruined Dominic Frontiere's full original theme music. This version only appeared for the NBC repeat telecast, and in syndication. Get Search - The Complete Series from Warner Archive.
