The 1960s were fascinating times for DC comics. In the first half of the decade, they dominated the comic book market, outselling many of the other publishers. They published many comic books, dominated by superheroes, including Superman, Batman and the newly remade heroes from the Golden Age like the Flash and Green Lantern. They also published many other titles from different genres, including western, war, science fiction, and even romance. In this video, I take a look and talk about the best cover artists for DC in the 1960s.
Artists mentioned in this episode: Steve Ditko, Gene Colan, Murphy Anderson, Bob Brown, Dick Dillin, Sheldon Moldoff, Mike Sekowsky and the artists listed in the Chapters below.
