২০১১ সালের মার্চ মাসে জাপানে ঘটে যায় এক ভয়াবহ ভূমিকম্প ও সুনামি, যার পরিণতিতে ফুকুশিমা পারমাণবিক দুর্ঘটনা বিশ্ববাসীকে আতঙ্কিত করে তোলে। তবে এই বিপর্যয়ের আরেকটি অদ্ভুত ও ভয়ংকর দিক ছিল — “ভূতের জাহাজ”।
সুনামির প্রবল ধাক্কায় শত শত মাছ ধরার নৌকা ও জাহাজ সাগরে ভেসে যায়। পরবর্তীতে প্রশান্ত মহাসাগরের বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলে, এমনকি আমেরিকার পশ্চিম উপকূল পর্যন্ত, এই পরিত্যক্ত জাহাজগুলো ভেসে থাকতে দেখা যায়।
এদেরকে বলা হয় “Ghost Ships” বা ভূতের জাহাজ, কারণ এসব জাহাজে কোনো নাবিক ছিল না, ছিল না কোনো চালক বা কর্মী। অনেক সময় এগুলোর ভেতরে দেখা গেছে অর্ধগলিত মানবদেহ বা কঙ্কাল, যা দৃশ্যটিকে আরও ভয়ংকর করে তোলে। কেউ কেউ মনে করে, এই জাহাজগুলোতে ছিলেন উত্তর কোরিয়ার দুর্ভিক্ষপীড়িত জেলেরা, যারা দিক হারিয়ে মৃত্যুবরণ করেন।
তবে এসব ঘটনার অনেকটাই আজও রহস্যঘেরা। ফুকুশিমা বিপর্যয়ের পর সাগরের দিকে হারিয়ে যাওয়া বহু জাহাজের খবর আর কখনো পাওয়া যায়নি। ভূতের জাহাজগুলো যেন প্রমাণ করে, প্রকৃতির বিপর্যয় শুধু মানুষকেই নয়, তার বাহনকেও করে তোলে নির্বাক রহস্যের অংশ।
এই সব জাহাজ এখনো সমুদ্রের বুকে ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে আছে — এক নিঃশব্দ সাক্ষ্য, এক নিঃশব্দ আতঙ্ক।
